Before you ask

Everything clients ask, answered plainly.

Couture has its own rhythm, and good questions deserve straight answers. Below is everything women usually want to know before commissioning at HANIYE — timelines, fittings, the approach to pricing, bridal, and the practicalities of visiting the atelier. If your question isn't here, one message will get a personal reply.

The House & the idea

What HANIYE is

What does HANIYE do?

HANIYE is a private couture house in Dubai, founded in 2023 by designer Haniye Yeganeh. We create one-of-one made-to-measure gowns for women — evening gowns, bridal couture and formal occasion wear. Every garment is designed from a blank page for one client, built through private fittings, numbered in the House Register, and never repeated.

What does "one-of-one" mean?

Your design exists exactly once. The pattern is drafted from your measurements, the design is created for your occasion, and once the gown is completed and numbered in the Register, that design is retired permanently. It will never be made again — for anyone.

Why are commissions limited each season?

Because couture done properly takes time and undivided attention. HANIYE accepts a limited number of commissions to protect quality, discretion and the calm of the process — for the house, and for each client.

Commissioning & cost

Starting a commission

How do I commission a custom gown in Dubai?

Send one message — WhatsApp +971 50 360 9660 or email [email protected] — with your occasion and date. The atelier replies personally with consultation times. The commission then moves through four steps: consultation, design, fittings, completion. See the full process →

How much does a HANIYE gown cost?

Each gown is an individual commission, so the investment depends on silhouette, fabric and handwork. Terms and pricing are discussed openly at your private consultation before any work begins — you will never be surprised later.

Is the first consultation free? Am I obliged to order?

The first consultation is a private conversation about whether the commission is right for both sides — there is no obligation to proceed. There is, however, an expectation of seriousness: appointments are limited and reserved for clients genuinely considering a one-of-one commission.

Can you recreate a dress from a photo?

We never copy. Bring any reference you love — a photograph, a plate from our Register, a feeling — and the designer will use it as a point of departure to create an original design that exists only for you.

Timelines & fittings

The rhythm of the work

How long does a couture commission take?

Made-to-measure occasion dresses typically take three to six weeks; custom evening gowns four to eight weeks; bridal couture is best begun three to six months before the wedding. Shorter timelines are sometimes possible — tell us your date and we will answer honestly.

How many fittings will I have?

Most commissions involve two to four private fittings, depending on complexity. The garment is refined directly on your body at each stage — structure first, then drape, then hand-finishing. Fittings continue until the fit is right, not until time runs out.

I'm visiting Dubai — can I commission a gown during my trip?

Often, yes. If your stay allows a consultation and at least one fitting, the schedule can be built around your travel dates; simpler silhouettes can sometimes be completed within a visit. Send your dates with your enquiry and we will tell you what is possible.

Bridal

For brides

Does HANIYE make wedding dresses?

Yes — bridal couture is a core commission of the house. A custom wedding dress is designed from a blank page, built across two to four fittings, and never repeated for another bride. Three to six months before the wedding is the ideal starting point. The full bridal journey →

Can a gown be designed for modesty or cultural requirements?

Absolutely. Coverage, sleeves, necklines and veiling are designed in from the first sketch — elegance and modesty are not opposites here. Modest couture, in depth → Many commissions also include a transformation, such as a ceremony look that adapts for the reception.
